Here you walk through former forests that are currently being converted from coniferous to deciduous. The distinctive feature of this hike are the narrow paths that offer you a true forest experience. The surface varies between paved and unpaved roads, and the Weerterbos consists mainly of woodlands and open areas.
Green route
The green route forms a short loop through the southernmost part of The Weerterbos, leading through former production forests. Here the landscape undergoes a transformation from coniferous to deciduous forest. The trail is formed by narrow paths, making the walk a unique forest experience.
